UCF College of Business is leading the charge into the next generation of business and education. Established in 1968, UCF College of Business offers degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and executive levels. All programs, as well as the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting, are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
The Opportunity
The HR Coordinator position provides direct HR support for managers and employees in delivering HR services using a working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and leveraging Workday to complete transactions.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate the staff recruitment process as needed, including working with search committees, processing actions in Workday and providing information and/or status updates to department chairs/school directors. Consult with unit leaders on promotions, demotions, title changes, data changes, and voluntary terminations for staff and faculty.
Facilitate OPS student and non-student hires, processing actions in Workday and providing information and/or status updates to department chairs/school directors.
Work with Program Directors, Chairs, CBA Graduate Admission, and the College of Graduate Studies to facilitate the hiring and processing of GTA, GRA, and GA assistantships every semester.
Initiate and approve employee job changes in Workday (hires, transfers, promotions, renewals, compensation changes, one-time payments, etc.). Oversee local onboarding and offboarding.
Support managers and employees with timekeeping processes and time audits.
Support associate deans, chairs, and directors in various HR administrative tasks associated with division and department management – such as AA-46, Faculty Awards, Adjunct Evaluations, Faculty Evaluations, SPI Distribution. Assist in coordinating training to ensure compliance with university policies.
Maintain working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and ensure process compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies. Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures. Escalate complex HR issues to HR Partner or HR Director.
Work with faculty and post-award support staff to facilitate the postdoctoral scholar hiring process, aiding with processes such as posting postdoctoral scholar requisitions, conducting first pass of candidates, providing information and/or status updates to faculty hiring managers, and processing actions in Workday.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WorkDay software and advanced computer skills (MS suite, any special COB programs?) Higher Education experience Demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR administration, support, and processing including but not limited to interpreting and appropriately applying the sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances and policies within higher education.
