General Summary: Teach all courses in curriculum as needed; coordinate schedules; and supervise programs, faculty, and classes in the Department.  
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related 
Minimum one year of experience working as a Postsecondary Instructor, Electronics  
Preferred Qualifications:  
Specific Position Duties: Teach freshmen, and sophomore level students in the field of electronics and instrumentation technology; prepare students for the workforce and/or advanced coursework. 
Communicate effectively to groups through either practiced or extemporaneous presentations and facilitate learning in laboratory settings. 
Utilize appropriately challenging coursework to help students realize their full potential as learners. 
Consistently measure and evaluate achievement of student learning outcomes and make recommendations for improvement as needed. 
Provide students with written expectations, e.g., syllabi, policies, assignment instructions, graded evaluations, etc. 
Deliver material in a clear and understandable manner. 
Administer tests which are appropriate to course content, including a comprehensive final exam measuring overall grasp of course objectives. 
Address student concerns, i.e., comments, questions, and input, both in class and via posted office hours, and provide timely electronic communication as appropriate. 
Prepare adequately for class and arrive promptly at class meetings, labs, and any other scheduled instructional activities. 
Maintain individual student advisement on degree plans and degree applications in order to comply with completion requirements. 
Maintain an appropriate learning and assessment climate in the classroom, whether traditional, web, or distance, which encourages the free exchange of ideas while defending academic honesty and objectivity. 
Teach students from a wide spectrum of ages and from diverse social and cultural backgrounds with varying learning styles; by ways and means of instructing students, affirm the worth and dignity of all persons and the right of all persons to learn. 
Effectively handle routine procedures necessary for the successful, day-to-day operation of the department as delegated by the department chair. 
Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the electronics and teaching fields and align coursework to industry-standards. 
Access and handle electrical/mechanical equipment; use tools and hardware relevant to the field of instrumentation & electronics technology.
