We are seeking an Internal Audit intern to help us review Laboratory operations focused on compliance with internal policies and government contracts, business process improvement, and risk mitigation. The Internal Audit team collaborates with staff across all Departments and Sectors to independently and objectively test the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.

 

As a member of our team…

  • Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Internal Audit Team by executing all audit phases including: planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
  • You will interview Management to discuss their priorities and compile an audit universe.
  • You will exercise independent professional judgement.
  • You will continuously learn and meet new people (while having fun)!

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business-related major: Accounting, Finance, etc.
  • Have strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Are proficient in using Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Have experience with data analytics and/or data visualization software.

 

Base pay will take into account the selected candidate’s knowledge, experience, skill and/or abilities with consideration for internal parity. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.  APL provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance and training and development. Base hourly range for this role: $17.15 to $33.05.
