We are seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to help us manage the financial operations of the Space Sectors diverse portfolio of projects. You 'll be joining a hardworking team of business professionals that strive to provide timely, reliable and valuable business operations support and expertise. As a team member, you will collaborate with internal and external customers to play an active role in the overall financial success and operational efficiency.

As an Assistant Cost Manager, your primary responsibility will include handling the day-to-day financial management of the following activities:


Work with technical facilities group to forecast and track costs relating to building and infrastructure projects as well as software and IT assets. Serve as Sector capital representative. Assist with schedule tracking for internal construction projects. Coordinate technical facility overhead planning for facilities and IT assets. Serve as Sector Software Coordinator. Familiarity with IT and Software Asset /Lifecycle Management (SAM/SWLM). Negotiate and procure Software Licensing Agreements (SLA) and related contracts.

 


Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a Bachelor 's degree in a Business area (e.g. Business Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance) with 3+ years of relevant experience such as Financial planning and tracking, software coordination, schedule creation/tracking for small projects, as well as any kind of planning and coordination for facility and IT projects.
  • Have the proven ability to be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Are highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Use of IBM TRIRIGA, Electronic Business Services System (EBSS), Data Warehouse (DW), Oracle PeopleSoft, Property, PEER and Equipment Management System (PEMS), ServiceNow (SNOW). Familiarity with P-Cards, Budget Change Requests (BCRs), Post Expenditure Cost Transfers (PEAs), Plant Facility Work Requests (PFWRs), Service Requests (SRs).
  • Institutional knowledge of financial, facilities, personnel, and property management policies, processes, and procedures. 
  • Self-starter with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills including delivery of customer-focused services within a highly-educated, fast-paced, multi-tasking technical environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
