The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Barista at The Morris Inn Coffee Shop. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
The Barista is responsible for preparing coffee/tea beverages with efficiency and accuracy according to recipes, and brand standards. This position will support the team and provide excellent guest service by assisting with preparation, stocking and rotating of food, beverages, and paper product inventories. Additional responsibilities of the Barista include: general beverage service, maintaining food and beverage displays, and welcoming/serving guests in accordance with UEE hospitality standards/brand standards. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, passionate about serving others, and able to provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to everyone.

Minimum Qualifications
- 1 to 6 months of related work experience required
- Competent in food industry skills and use of equipment such as ovens, espresso/steamers, blenders, and knives
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety practices
- Knowledgeable of Coffee and Tea Brands
Preferred Qualifications
Must obtain, and retain Indiana Alcohol Beverage Permit and Serve Safe certification
