Student Program Leaders (Summer Employment) - 9 openings

Job Description

Are you looking for a unique summer opportunity to serve others, make life-long connections, and experience the South Bend community in a way you never have? Join us as a Student Program Leader with the Alumni Association’s Family Volunteer Camp!

This is a program where alumni and their children from around the country return to campus for a week-long program focused on community service. Some of our partners include the Center for the Homeless, Hope Ministries, the YWCA, Habitat for Humanity and Unity Gardens. Student Program Leaders will serve as the primary group leaders at the service project sites. In this role they will form working relationships with several nonprofit agencies and they will help manage the daily projects at the work sites by ensuring volunteers are engaged in meaningful work, confirming projects are completed according to the agencies’ specifications, and assisting participants in learning the agencies’ missions and the communities in which they serve.

Student Program Leaders will also serve as ambassadors of the University on behalf of the Alumni Association. They will attend group activities and will be expected to engage alumni and their children in meaningful conversation.
