POSITION: Adjunct Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Instructor- Building &
Construction Trades
MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: Actual starting salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Associate’s Degree in air conditioning
related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in residential and/or
commercial service. Candidates with a current state mechanical (air conditioning) license
or general contractor’s license and five (5) years of experience may be considered. Must
have knowledge and experience in: troubleshooting, brazing, system evacuation, subcooling
and superheat, equipment sizing and duct design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The instructor will be responsible for classroom and
lab instruction, performance task grading, maintaining course and student records. Must
have the ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with
students. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft
Outlook required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Previous experience teaching at the (2) twoyear
college level is preferred.
