The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.

A postdoctoral position is currently available in our laboratory open to highly motivated candidates with a background in molecular biology, genetics, cancer biology and/or transcriptional regulation. The primary interest of our group is in understanding the central drivers of soft tissue tumor initiation. We are currently focusing on the role of Wnt/?-catenin signaling in the pathogenesis of desmoid-type fibromatosis using in vitro and in vivo models of the disease. Projects will include basic and translational studies focused on transcriptome analysis, signaling transduction, and next-generation sequencing as well as murine studies. The ultimate goal of our work is to develop targeted therapies for soft tissue tumors based on insight into disease pathogenesis.  

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD degree
  • Strong Laboratory, analytical and communication skills
  • Backgrounds in Molecular Biology and/or Soft Tissue diseases are encouraged
