The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking two licensed/licensed-eligible psychologists to work primarily on its inpatient interprofessional team as well as spend time working in the associated outpatient programs. Applicants must have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APA accredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. Applicants with administrative competencies, in addition to clinical, research, and teaching expertise, are encouraged to apply. While the academic rank for both positions is open, ideally we will hire one associate professor and one assistant professor. Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. 

 

Primary roles include (1) serving in a leadership role for treatment and program planning and implementation of a cognitive-behavioral milieu; (2) overseeing the psychosocial interventions on the unit; (3) providing direct inpatient and outpatient individual and group therapy services; (4) educating and training staff and supervising and teaching within the psychiatry residency and psychology training programs, (5) participating in research or quality improvement activities, and (6) contributing to the department and broader institution through service.
