Minimal Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science, OR

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline plus a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Library Science.

Preferred qualifications:

Preference will be given to individuals who possess:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent from an American Library Association accredited institution

  • Experience in providing library instruction

  • Experience selecting reference resource and general library materials

  • Experience providing reference assistance to a diverse community

  • Experience coordinating library work teams and activities

  • Experience with new and emerging technological applications including electronic information resources and social media applications

  • Community college experience
