Essential Functions (Job Duties)
The department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of pharmacy seeks an individual at the level of assistant professor on the research track.
Essential Functions/Duties:
Conduct and complete research as required by the grant, contract, or other funding mechanism.
Maintain accurate scientific records.
Conduct research in a safe manner.
Interface with University, College, and funding agency grant administrators.
Publish and disseminate research results.
Submit applications to funding agencies to support research.
Maintain funding to support 100% of salary and research materials.
Obtain and maintain research space from research mentor and Department.
Attend and participate in Department faculty meetings.
Provide mentorship to graduate and postdoctoral students to the extend negotiated with the research mentor and department chair. Â

Qualifications
Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline. Must have demonstrated experience in the submission of external grants and preference will be given to candidates with a history of obtaining funding for their research. Â
