Job Description:

General Statement of Duties

Provide coverage at MWCC Health Services Office and college events.

This particular job posting is an "Open Pool" position. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

Provide prompt, efficient emergency care; maintain all records required by the college in a manner consistent with legal requirements; assure that emergency supplies and equipment on campus are adequate and appropriate for the provision of required care; identify and report to the College Nurse/Health Educator any hazard to the safety of individuals on campus; assist members of the responding ambulance crew upon request while on campus; remain on campus with appropriate administrator until campus is cleared in the event of a bomb threat or fire emergency.

 


Requirements:

Must be proficient in the delivery of emergency medical care and cognizant of legal implications; able to relate well with various segments of the College and community; currently registered as an Emergency Medical Technician either nationally or in Massachusetts; at least two years recent experience or equivalent job related experience.

In-house Title:
Salary: $ 16.00 per hour
Hours per Week: Varies
Number of Weeks: September-June, per diem, and Summers June-August.

Three (3) current Letters of Recommendation will be required as a condition of employment.(Dated within 1 year of hire).

Hired candidate will be required to have official, sealed transcripts sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
