General Statement of Duties: This person will assist the lead instructor with clinical lab activities.
The person in this position will assist the lead instructor with clinical/lab activities that may include, but is not limited to:
Operation and care of the dental equipment
Sterilization procedures and Infection Control protocols, OSHA Guidelines
Medical histories, vital signs, intra and extra oral examination
Four handed dentistry, placement of rubber dams, bands
Dental charting, record keeping,
Preparation of dental anesthesia
Identification of dental instruments, periodontal, oral surgery, implants, endodontic
This person will provide support to the lead instructor with competency and skills evaluations.
The person should be a Certified Dental Assistant with at least 5 years experience in a dental clinical position/setting. Evidence of competence in the area of instruction; Expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities; 3-5 years teaching experience in a community college preferred.
Salary: $23.75 per hr.
