Duties: To review the Director of Cosmetology & Barber as well as the Instructor job descriptions go to Staff Job Descriptions at www.vernoncollege.edu .

Travel between Vernon Campus and Century City Center required. Occasional travel to professional development/accreditation conferences and workshops.

Experience: Currently Licensed Cosmetologist or Barber and have Instructor License. Minimum of 5 years practical field experience. Proven experience working with accreditation processes. Proven/demonstrated leadership ability and work ethic. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail/task oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation of students. Ability to foster and grow partnerships with external stakeholders. Commitment to the concepts of responsibility, accountability, and continuous program improvement.

Preferred: Administrative and supervisory or managerial experience. Community College teaching and/or administrative experience. Knowledge of curriculum development and maintenance within the guidelines of various accrediting bodies (SACSCOC, THECB, WECM, GIPWE, TDLR).

Position: This is a full time position with full Vernon College benefits. Available October 1, 2020. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Salary range is $49,870 - $57,989 based on education and experience, plus a $5,000 Director stipend annually.
