Summary

The Kwan lab at the University of Michigan is recruiting post-doctoral scholars for two NIH-funded positions to study neural circuit development, chromatin regulation, and neurodevelopmental disorders using genetic, genomic, genome-editing, and imaging techniques. Post-doctoral scholars in the Kwan lab will have the freedom to choose from several creative projects with exciting preliminary data and access to significant resources within the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) and the Department of Human Genetics. The lab is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, diverse, and nurturing training environment. Each trainee in the Kwan lab develops an individualized mentoring and training plan tailored to their career goals. Trainees can expect to be directly mentored on grant writing, paper writing, teaching, manuscript review, oral presentation, and job search. Required Qualifications*

Must possess either a Ph.D or a professional doctorate (e.g. M.D., DD.S., D.V.M).

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
