SCOPE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for maintaining an effective performance measurement and evaluation system while analyzing information for CICF philanthropic collaborative, major funds, and various departments and programs. Maintain sufficient knowledge and understanding of our funds and foundations. The associate also works with hired researchers, consultants and counterparts when those external audiences have deliverables tied to the functions of this team. To be effective, the associate must stay current on evaluation practices and frameworks and the community landscape to inform our work. Support the communications and marketing team in communicating the philanthropic collaborative ongoing performance against goals.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure data gathering, analysis and dissemination reflect the foundation's focus on equity. Implementing the equitable principles of evaluation.
  • Planning the assessment and analysis of data priorities for the philanthropic collaborative.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the execution of work processes.
  • Represent the foundation externally on matters of evaluation, learning and performance management including speaking engagements, attending conferences and participating in other key internal and external meetings.
  • Design and implement evaluation plans for major projects, initiatives and strategies.
  • Maintaining relationships within our funds and foundations (key internal staff members and designated point people)/Relationship building to allow others to embrace evaluation.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for community leadership officers and effective philanthropy officers to provide evaluation-related support.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Flexible hybrid office environment (in office three days a week). Homebase–English Foundation Building in downtown Indianapolis, plus additional space and expectation of presence in Hamilton County Community Foundation’s Fishers office.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job:

? Bachelor’s degree in a related field or experience in evaluation and impact measurement.

? Willingness to build knowledge about opportunity, equity and inclusion issues, and how they intersect with race, and advance these core values through your work.

? Ability to interact diplomatically with all levels of the organization, community and outside vendors.

? Ability to analyze and present information in a coherent and understandable manner.

? Ability to adapt to changes–the ability to be flexible and imaginative to support an equitable and inclusive culture/work environment.

? Ability to self-reflect; leadership characteristics include modeling evaluative behavior.

? Strategic thinker who is also hands-on, independent and detail-oriented.

? Proven ability to facilitate working groups and meetings.

? Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

? Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience with data management systems and reporting.

? Fully vaccinated against coronavirus, per CDC guidelines.
