Position Summary

The School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering invites applications for one or more 9-month, fixed-term, full/part-time Instructors to teach on a term by term basis for the 2016-2017 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an Instructor position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Department Head.

The mission of the School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering is to provide formal education for undergraduate and graduate students, to perform sponsored and unsponsored research for the benefit of the State of Oregon, private industry and the federal government, and to conduct public service activities. The School has an enrollment of about 1000 undergraduate students, 150 graduate students, 26 full-time faculty members and ten staff support members.

Position Duties

95% Teaching
Will administer and teach various undergraduate/graduate courses in the areas of chemical engineering, biological engineering, and environmental engineering.

5% Service
Complete the necessary due diligence related to the assigned courses to complete the tracking and processes for ABET requirements.

Minimum/Required Qualifications

MS in Chemical Engineering required.

Proficiency with computational tools and Microsoft Office products is required.

Prior experience as instructor/teacher at undergraduate level or equivalent industrial experiences as a trainer in technical courses is required.
