Goal: External relations ( public relations and marketing).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications (public relations), Brigham Young University. Three years of experience in external relations, corporate communications and public affairs.

Why I Am Worthy of an Interview: While working for the Marriott School of Management, I grew to love the unique challenges and opportunities of working in external affairs for higher education.

I wrote press releases, edited for the alumni magazine, and promoted the school among recruiters, alumni, students, potential students and the community. I also worked with faculty and students (as well as journalists) to generate stories and media attention.

I continued to develop my skills in public relations and communications in my most recent job, corporate communications for an investment bank .

I've been a reporter, writer, editor, publisher and organizer. I've written for newspapers, magazines, press releases, the Web and more. I'm fluent in the AP Stylebook and Chicago Style. I know how to use diverse media (including audio, video, print and the Web) to represent organizations effectively.
