James McCormick named search consultant with AGB Search

AGB Search is pleased to announce that Dr. James H. McCormick, chancellor emeritus of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) system, has joined the firm’s search practice as a search consultant.
Dr. McCormick began his term as chancellor of MNSCU in July 2001. As Chancellor, Dr. McCormick was responsible to the 15-member Board of Trustees for the administration of all facets of the system. Before going to Minnesota, Dr. McCormick was the founding chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and previously served as president of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. McCormick has deep leadership and governance experiences as past chair of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, past chair of the Higher Education Advisory Council for the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, and past national chair of the State Higher Education Executive Officers and served on the SHEEO Executive Committee. In 2007, Dr. McCormick was part of the Department of Education's Negotiated Rulemaking Committee for accreditation. He also served as a member of the William Mitchell School of Law board of trustees.
Dr. McCormick is a frequent speaker, particularly on issues addressing characteristics of leadership, workforce development, higher education opportunity for the underserved and underrepresented, and the public higher education access mission in universities and community colleges.
