Joye Norris, a Drury University professor of education, was named associate provost for access and outreach at Missouri State University, an MSU news release said.
Newly created, the position is an MSU effort to strengthen its outreach to non-traditional students and beef up its distance education.
Norris will begin her appointment July 1, pending approval by the MSU Board of Governors.
“Norris brings to MSU a wealth of experience in higher education administration, including her work as dean of the College of Education at Henderson State University and dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Drury,” MSU’s deputy provost John Catau said in the news release.
