U. of South Carolina Upstate names 5 finalists in chancellor search

The University of South Carolina Upstate committee tasked with finding a successor to outgoing Chancellor John Stockwell announced five finalists for the position Wednesday.
They are:
David Belcher, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, University of Arkansas at Little Rock;
Kurt Geisinger, W.C. Meierhenry distinguished university professor; director, Buros Center for Testing, University of Nebraska-Lincoln;
Tim Hudson, special assistant to the chancellor for international programs and initiatives, University of Houston System;
Thomas Moore, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, Winthrop University in Rock Hill; and
Ray Wallace, provost and senior vice chancellor, University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
The finalists were selected after the search committee conducted private video interviews on Friday and Monday with a dozen semifinalists who were chosen from a pool of more than 60 applicants.
