Idaho State University's Provost Gary Olson is stepping down from the university's leadership team.
Olson says his resignation will be effective June 25.
His departure comes a year after a no confidence vote held by the faculty senate over some of his efforts to reorganize the Pocatello campus. Tensions increased earlier this year when a majority of the faculty senate also supported a no-confidence vote in the job being done by President Arthur Vailas.
Vailas stood by Olson after last year's faculty vote, and says Olson's decision is for personal reasons.
