Marcus Fogle, Class of 2009, has been appointed manager of the annual fund in the Division of Institutional Advancement at Claflin University.
"I plan to bring innovative ideas to the table. Giving is a learned trait. My goal is to encourage all of our distinguished alumni to frequently and passionately give back to our institution," Fogle said.
"I also plan to utilize the latest technology to assist the division's efforts to become the first HBCU in the nation to have a 50 percent alumni giving rate."
As manager of the annual fund, Fogle is charged with coordinating the annual fund campaign for the university.
Fogle is currently pursuing a master of business administration degree from Claflin's School of Business, where he previously graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management.
"I love the faculty and staff at Claflin. They really show you that anything is possible," he said. "I felt at home right away here."
