The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) has named Liesl Riddle as associate dean of graduate programs. She is currently an associate professor of international business and international affairs in the Department of International Business. In her new role, she will oversee the school’s five M.B.A. programs – the Global M.B.A., Professional M.B.A., Accelerated M.B.A., World Executive M.B.A. and Healthcare M.B.A.
“Dr. Riddle has the global expertise, research experience and vision necessary to lead our graduate programs and help our students engage the world from the nation’s capital,” said GWSB Dean Doug Guthrie, professor of international business and professor of management.
Dr. Riddle’s areas of expertise include international entrepreneurship and national trade and investment promotion, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. She has written extensively about the roles that diasporas – migrants and their descendants – play in the economic development of emerging markets and is considered a leading expert on the topic.
“GW School of Business’ students, faculty and alumni are leading the way in the dynamic world of international business in the 21st century,” said Dr. Riddle. “Our students not only master essential business principles but they also seek to make the world a better place, through ethical business practices, corporate social and environmental responsibility and sustainability. Our students are change-agents; they inspire me every day. I look forward to continuing to guide the school’s mission to teach students to think globally, lead passionately and act responsibly.”
