NDSU's long-serving provost and vice president of academic affairs, Dr. Craig Schnell, has announced his intention to retire from his administrative responsibilities sometime in the summer of 2011.
Schnell will transition to a faculty position in the College of Pharmacy.
"Dr. Schnell's two and a half decades of service to NDSU reflect his deeply felt commitment to our University and merit our sincere recognition and appreciation," said President Dean L. Bresciani.
Schnell will remain in his administrative role until the position is filled. A national search to fill the position will be announced in the near future.
Schnell came to NDSU in August 1985 as Dean of Graduate Studies and Research. In 2002, he was named Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.
