Dr. Jack D. Rose has been elected to serve as the faculty representative on the Murray State University Board of Regents.
With four candidates, a runoff election was held among MSU faculty on Monday and Tuesday. Dr. Rose received 64 percent of the vote, according to an e-mail from Faculty Senate Secretary Donna Miller. Rose's term will run through June 30, 2013.
“I was very pleased with the support I received from the faculty,” Rose said. “It was, I think, one of the highest percentages we've ever had to vote on that position and I'm obviously pleased with the results since I feel like I had a strong majority.”
