New SMSU development director Amanda Lincoln
Southeast Missouri State University announced Tuesday they named the new director of development with the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.
Amanda Lincoln will replace Sam Duncan, who resigned to accept a new position. She began her new duties June 4.
As director of development, Lincoln will be responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting donors among alumni and friends of the University to make current and deferred gifts to the Southeast Missouri University Foundation to benefit the academic mission of the University. The director of development also implements stewardship strategies, including planning and coordinating special events to enhance the relationship between alumni, friends and the University.
“As an alumna, it brings me great honor and privilege to serve the University in this new capacity,” Lincoln said. “I look forward to working with our many talented and caring alumni and friends to advance an already strong program and to help our students.”
“We are very pleased Amanda will be joining the Foundation,” added Bill Holland, vice president for University Advancement and executive director of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation. “Her background and understanding of charitable giving and of our donors makes her a valuable asset to our organization. Amanda is a tremendous addition and will greatly assist us in continuing our efforts to further the mission of this University.”
