Henderson State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The university seeks a dynamic, innovative, and visionary individual to lead its academic units as the institution prepares to celebrate its 125th year of service.
Henderson is a comprehensive institution of higher education serving the State of Arkansas, portions of surrounding states, and particularly the South Arkansas Region. The university offers 50 baccalaureate through Educational Specialist degree programs. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the university. Working collaboratively with the President, the Provost is responsible for leadership of the academic programs and supporting areas. Those areas reporting to the Provost include Teachers College, Ellis College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, Graduate School, the library, Multimedia Learning Center, assessment, and the Advising Center. Additionally, the Provost is a member of the President’s Executive Council and thereby participates in decision-making for the entire university.
