Ransom Everglades School, a Grades 6-12 independent school in Coconut Grove, Florida, serving 1,100 children, is seeking Advancement professionals to join its team as the school enters the public phase of REinventing Excellence, a $75 million comprehensive campaign. An exciting initiative to rebuild and expand the Upper School campus, the campaign will add new teaching facilities, a dining structure, administrative building and green space as well as increase endowments to support scholarships, faculty and programmatic innovations.
These positions call for frontline fundraisers versed in annual giving and/or major gifts, ideally in an educational setting. Three-to-five years of pertinent experience working with donors and volunteers on a one-to-one basis is critical to success in these roles. Position responsibilities to include (but not exclusive to)
Work with Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, with a focus on young alumni giving, support and capacity building of class agents, reunion giving, and reunion/alumni events.
Major gift fundraising, to develop parent and alumni annual and capital giving in the context of the capital campaign. Planned giving experience desirable, but not required.
Sound knowledge of the full spectrum of development practices, principles and activities, including gift policies, solicitations, stewardship, donor recognition, working with high-level volunteers, and the ability to apply this knowledge creatively to fundraising projects.
Demonstrated skills in meeting predetermined goals and objectives through effective program/project planning, organization, evaluation and execution.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, students, volunteers, donors and prospects.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and polished presentation skills.
Ability to develop and cultivate very strong relationships with individuals.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or other donor software/CRM system.
Strong work ethic and demonstrated passion for the mission of Ransom Everglades School.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
