Job Summary

International & Multicultural Education (IME) Department: Since its inception in 1975,IME has been committed to understanding inequalities based on race, class, gender, and nationality as a way of promoting educational scholarship and research based on principles of equity and social justice. IME provides students with focused studies on formal and informal education within social, cultural, and linguistic contexts in both the United States and abroad. The IME Department has always been innovative in its curriculum and scholarship by promoting critical pedagogy and participatory action research.

Adjunct Positions: The Department of International & Multicultural Education (IME) in the USF School of Education invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the following programs: Ed.D. in IME (with optional concentrations in Human Rights Education and Second Language Acquisition; MA in IME, MA in Human Rights Education, and MA in TESOL.

Job Responsibilities

We seek to form a hiring pool of adjuncts with expertise in the areas of comparative international education, human rights and social justice education, peace and conflict education, critical race studies, gender and sexuality studies, indigenous education, urban education, bilingual/multicultural education, critical language and literacy studies, TESOL theory and practice, and critical pedagogy.

Requirements

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Comparative International Education, Social & Cultural Studies in Education, Language and Literacy Education, Social Justice Education, or related fields.
