The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Post-doctoral Associate to work on the UHealth Campus. The Post-Doctoral Associate performs clinical duties and assists with scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.

  • Evaluate patients from the University of Miami, Mental Health Hospital Center, JMH-Adult-Outpatient Psychiatry Clinics on a weekly basis

  • Undertake consultations from inpatient geropsychiatry wards

  • Attend weekly didactic trainings & supervision

  • Supervising pre-doctoral externs from the Neuropsychology service on a weekly basis

  • Assist with ongoing research projects at the Neuropsychology Assessment Clinic (3rd Floor, MHHC )

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. required

  • No prior experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Clinical assessment report and consultation writing skills 

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

Patient safety is a top priority.
