The School of Business seeks a Program Manager to manage select R.I.D.E. and ESG projects and initiatives from start to finish — working with leadership and key partners to: enhance existing initiatives, implement new programs/events, develop effective marketing and communication strategies, track/report key outcomes, and provide oversight of all project-related budgetary details. The primary objectives of this role are to create awareness, to deepen knowledge and understanding, and to activate community-wide engagement. The role has a dual reporting relationship to the School’s Chief Corporate Engagement Officer and the Executive Director, Strategy and Innovation. This is a two-year (Fiscal year runs July-June) position with an option to renew based on performance, funding availability and organizational needs.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

Project Management

  • Collaborates with R.I.D.E. Task Force and Priority Teams to implement key programs, events, and initiatives aimed at deepening community-wide awareness, understanding, and engagement with Heritage Month and Special Observances.

  • Manages R.I.D.E. and ESG programs, events, and activities resulting in high Net Promoter Score (> 60).

  • Implements continuous improvement efforts/after-action reviews to maximize our community experience and engagement.

  • Collaborates closely with key campus partners to achieve goals of sharing clear and timely information and messaging.

  • Monitors and tracks all activities, event outcomes, and faculty/staff/student participation, and provides monthly status reports to leadership.

  • Manages R.I.D.E. budget and program expenses.

Marketing and Communication (in partnership with the WFUSB Marketing & Communication department)

  • Partners with R.I.D.E. and ESG leadership to develop, to implement, and to manage marketing and communications strategies and plans.

  • Serves as a key member of the R.I.D.E. Task Force and Priority Teams and collaborates to develop content that deepens awareness and understanding of Heritage Month and Special Observances.

  • Responsible for select aspects of creating and maintaining timely and relevant content on the School of Business website and social media platforms pertaining to R.I.D.E. and ESG initiatives.

  • Researches and implements best practices for effective marketing and communications strategies.

  • Manages community spotlight interviews, video production, and editing process.

  • Prepares monthly updates and annual reports on R.I.D.E. and ESG activities and outcomes; Assists with leadership presentation development.

  • Develops a dashboard to track all R.I.D.E. and ESG marketing and communications activities/outcomes.

Other Functions:

  • Other duties as assigned that will achieve R.I.D.E. and ESG stated goals/objectives.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with and/or deep understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and/or Environment, Social, Governance (ESG).

  • Proven ability to research, analyze, and consolidate complex content into cohesive and clear messaging; Strong storytelling ability.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in change management techniques and approaches.

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in marketing and communications; program management experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, strong attention to detail.

Preferred Education, Knowledge Skills, Abilities :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.

  • Experience in multi-channel marketing and communications, including the use of social media platforms.
