Required Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent degree with expertise relevant to the research areas

Preferred:

  • Motivated and independent individuals with a demonstrated track record in neuroscience and cell biology are preferred
  • Strong research experience in mouse models, primary cell cultures, protein folding, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, imaging and other related fields will also be considered

We are seeking molecular biologists and/or neuroscientists with high motivation, creativity and independence to join the Dr. Gomez-Pastor’s research team in the Department of Neuroscience at University of Minnesota.

The Gomez-Pastor lab is working on understanding the biology of protein quality control systems under physiological and pathological conditions and developing novel approaches to treat human proteinopathies with special emphasis in Huntington’s Disease. A combination of biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, mouse models, and state-of-art imaging techniques is employed in the lab.
