Postdoctoral Fellow in Pediatrics
A postdoctoral fellowship position is immediately available to study mammalian cardiovascular development and regenerative biology. We use mouse as the model system and are particularly interested in how transcription factors regulate early heart formation, their roles in human congenital heart diseases and in differentiation of cardiac progenitor cells. The position offers a unique opportunity for a talented scientist to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research (http://www.wellscenter.iupui.edu/) has ongoing collaborative programs in molecular oncology and experimental therapeutics, cardiac developmental biology, diabetes, hematologic malignancies and stem cell biology, cardiovascular genetics and infectious disease and global health.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree required.
PhD and/or MD and expertise in molecular, cell and developmental biology and/or biochemistry

Additional Qualifications
Prior experience in relevant fields will be a strong plus but not completely required. Candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a highly collaborative manner.
