Job Description

Job Responsibilities: The Vice President of Academic Affairs will lead educational programs and services that serve a diverse student population. Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Academic Affairs will support an innovative and high-quality learning environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and student success. The Vice President of Academic Affairs is responsible for ensuring the quality of the academic curriculum, instruction, and student assessment and adherence to regional and programmatic accreditation, as well as, supporting the integration of technologies and innovative pedagogies to enhance the learning environment. The Vice President of Academic Affairs is responsive to emerging issues, trends, and community needs, and passionate about the community college mission. The Vice President of Academic Affairs creates collaborative work teams and a culture where faculty and staff work together as partners in student success, build consensus, develop, and execute strategic and operational plans, and work effectively with internal and external constituents.

Preferred Qualifications: An earned doctorate and minimum of five years each of teaching and progressive academic leadership experience are preferred.
