Lecturer salary from £34,304 per annum.

Senior Lecturer salary from £39,739 per annum.

The University of Lincoln received HEFCE Strategic Development Funding to establish a new School of Engineering at its Brayford Campus in the centre of Lincoln in 2009. It enabled a ground-breaking initiative in collaborating with Siemens and other employers in the engineering sector that seeks to develop engineering education, transformative research, and knowledge exchange for the 21st century.

The School of Engineering comprises Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees. It is research-focused and encompasses two strategic research clusters contributing to an extensive portfolio of externally funded projects (1) Industrial Digitalisation and System Intelligence; and (2) Sustainable Energy and Power Systems. The School offers a dynamic, collaborative, inclusive and rewarding environment with excellent facilities and strong industry links.

The School of Engineering invites applications for a permanent full-time post, Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Engineering Management. This post is on the Teaching and Research (TR) pathway. It is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of its community through research, teaching, and service.

Responsibilities for this post include developing an externally funded research programme of the highest quality and impact, producing outputs of REF-returnable quality, teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervising project and research students. Successful applicants will be able to teach subjects related to Engineering Management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have demonstrable research experience in one of the following focus areas:

  • Systems Engineering, Engineering Design, Manufacturing, Materials
  • Sustainability, Net-zero, Energy Systems
  • Digitisation in Industry (Industry 4.0)
  • Digitisation in Healthcare (Health 4.0)

Successful applicants will be able to support and advance the School’s curricula, contribute to student mentoring activities, and leverage synergies with other Schools across the College of Science and campus.
