About This Role:

The Department of Business in the College of Business at Lamar University seeks candidate for a faculty position in the area of Management (MGMT). Applicant will be considered for a nine-month non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Instructor. The position is available beginning in August 2022. Open until filled. Salary negotiable on qualifications and experience.

What You’ll Do – Position Duties
As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

Teach students (both graduate and undergraduate) face-to-face in classroom and online. Stay current of new developments in the field of Management. Display leadership and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of college and departmental programs. Participate in department, college, and university committees and in other activities associated with professional status. Perform related duties essential to the university teaching profession. Publication in academic journals and attending conferences is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
What You’ll Need to Succeed – Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

Minimum requirement is a Master’s in Management or in a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution. DBA, ABD or Ph.D. in Management or in a related discipline is a plus. Prior teaching experience is desirable. Ability to teach a variety of Behavioral Management courses such as Principles of Management and Organizational Behavior, Advanced Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, International Business, Critical Thinking Business Decision Making, and Entrepreneurship. Ability to teach Strategy or Production Management and other related Operations Management courses is a plus.
