Business Administration - Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, invites applications for full-time, tenure-track positions in the Business Administration department beginning in August of the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants with a master's degree in a related field and distinguished professional experience will be considered for a non-tenure track position.

The Business Administration department at Augustana College is a well-established program with a strong focus on effective undergraduate teaching within a strong liberal arts setting. As we advance our departmental strategic plan, we invite applications to join the collaborative faculty of our program. Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in Marketing and/or International Business. Candidates with strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are encouraged to apply. We also encourage applicants with demonstrated success in teaching and student learning, working with diverse populations, as well as a desire to develop relationships within the business community.

Tenure-track positions involve a 24-credit load that includes teaching 4-credit based courses within our Business Administration and/or International Business programs, advising majors, as well as department planning and programming activities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an active scholarly agenda, as well as engaging with our campus community.

Our Business Administration department houses two majors: Business Administration and International Business. Each major program includes options for a concentration: Management, Marketing, Finance, and Business Intelligence. The department also oversees two minor programs in Entrepreneurial Studies and Nonprofit Leadership Development.

Requirements:

A terminal degree in a related field is strongly preferred; candidates enrolled in but who have not yet completed a terminal degree in a related field will also be considered for an entry-level tenure-track position. Applicants with a master's degree in a related field and distinguished professional experience will be considered for a non-tenure track position. Professional experience in the field of expertise is strongly preferred for all applicants.
