Overview of the role

The Senior Community Philanthropy Manager will accelerate the development, implementation, and growth of The Trevor Project’s robust mid-level donor program. This role is an integral part of a lively, multidisciplinary Community Philanthropy team focused on developing the programmatic infrastructure to implement a large mid-level gifts program. In addition to developing the strategic vision for this initiative and program infrastructure, this role will also manage a portfolio of mid-level donors. This team is responsible for approximately $6M of annual revenue. The Senior Community Philanthropy Manager is responsible for bringing bold new visions to life in donor stewardship, cultivation, engagement and communications that inspire and inform as well as developing and executing fundraising strategies that attract new donors and increase mid-level donor contribution levels. This role will initially supervise two Manager level direct reports and grow their team over time .

What you’ll do

  • Build the strategic vision for The Trevor Project’s mid-level & leadership donor program (individuals in the $1,000–$25,000 giving range) that includes plans for solicitation and cultivation calendars, engagement tactics, strategic donor segmentation and giving circle implementation

  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors, working to cultivate, solicit, upgrade, and steward their contributions to The Trevor Project

  • Collaborating across internal teams and with external partners, manage the production of annual appeals, renewals, and upgrade materials, as well as all other correspondence and stewardship initiatives specific to the mid-level program

  • In collaboration with the Development Operations team, create a donor acknowledgment experience for mid-level donor segment that aligns with Trevor’s values and mission Champion the mid-level audience’s needs in messaging, creative, and segmentation for all campaigns, consistently building consensus

  • Serve as the direct supervisor for the Leadership Giving Managers
