Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:

The Office of Financial Services is inviting applications for the position of Sr. Accountant Grants. The Office of Financial Services, housed in the Division of Finance and Operations, handles matters related to University accounting, cashiering, investment, payroll, procurement, and student business services.

Major Job Functions:
  • Maintain various ledgers, journals, and other fiscal records; allocate revenues to appropriate funding sources. Monitor and review all grant accounts, as well as general restricted accounts.
  • Prepare examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness. Assist with audits to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Data entry in the USAS (Uniform Statewide Accounting System) as needed, as well as monitoring the daily IT file.
  • Prepare Journal Entries, Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursements as needed.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report, and various other reports as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
4-year degree in Accounting or related field from a regionally accredited university
Minimum Experience Required:
7 years or more of experience in Accounting
