Enterprise Project Manager

Our Communications Department is seeking a Project Manager who will partner with a cross-disciplinary team of colleagues to manage a portfolio of projects associated with our enterprise service departments.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our staff and collaborate with our creative team to develop and execute project plans in the delivery of a variety of complex deliverables.
As a Project Manager in the Communications Department, you will:
- Develop robust project plans for sector/department level communications strategy.
- Develop estimates, track and monitor individual project budgets via communications department tools.
- Lead teams in all project phases, plan and manage project scope, prioritize requirements with project sponsor, stakeholders and COMM resources.
- Build strong relationships with enterprise service departments and effectively communicate logistics and impacts to on-site staff.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary communications team, technical staff and executive stakeholders in support of projects.
- Understand clients’ goals and needs and help translate that to COMM colleagues to develop dynamic and engaging content for internal comms (i.e., digital displays, invitations, physical displays, websites, fact sheets, etc.)
- Carefully manage project costs to ensure alignment with allocated project budgets.
- Effectively communicate budget and project impacts to stakeholders
- Build trust with clients by demonstrating reliability, authenticity, transparency.
- Serve as a conduit between clients and the various COMMS team members to execute deliverables according to schedule.
- Plan and manage project scope by determining and prioritizing requirements with stakeholders in conjunction with COMM resources.
- Work closely with project team members to develop estimates that inform an effective schedule and align with the overall project budget.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have:
- A Bachelor 's degree in communications, business administration, operations, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience managing projects to include communications campaigns, events, executive communications, public outreach, branding, collateral creation, and integrated projects.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, project management and organizational communications skills.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing complex situations and collaborating across a matrix organization.
- Experience working with creative teams in a dynamic environment.
- An ability to operate independently, set priorities, and adjudicate competing needs in a fast- paced organization.
- Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You 'll go above and beyond if you have:
- More than 6 years of demonstrated experience in project management to include communications campaigns, events, executive communications, public outreach, branding, collateral creation, and integrated projects
- Experience working with technical subject matter experts and researchers
- Experience working with the government, DoD or academic institutions
- Proficiency in developing, managing, and executing successful and sophisticated cross-channel campaigns
- A Secret-level (or higher) security clearance.
