Summary of Job Duties:

The Part-time Cosmetology Program Instructor will assist with facilitating all educational activities, daily operations, content planning, classroom monitoring, and submitting required program reporting. Will be a vital part of ensuring the program’s efficiency and effectiveness in preparing students for board examinations, teaching workplace professionalism, and graduating well prepared students who are ready to enter the workforce.

Duties will include:

  • Identifying problem areas for students and providing necessary support and plans of action
  • Maintaining Arkansas Cosmetology Instructor Licensure
  • Mentoring students
  • Overseeing practice exams for both written and practical tests
  • Teaching Cosmetology Theory as needed
  • Supervising students on practical applications and giving instruction as needed
  • Overseeing operations on the clinic floor


Qualifications:

  • Must hold current Cosmetology Instructor License through the Arkansas Department of Health
  • A strong commitment to the mission of the college
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to easily work without direct supervision.
  • Previous teaching/classroom experience is preferred


Salary Information:

$20.00 per hour
