Function/Duties of Position:
This position is for a Neuro-Oncologist for a joint program between the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery and the Knight Cancer Institute.
Responsibilities include management, treatment and follow up care of patients with brain tumors; participation in clinical trials; teaching medical students, residents and fellows; inpatient attending rotations on the neuro-oncology service and shared night/weekend call. This position includes the opportunity to develop a scholarly program in neuro-oncology research.
Academic duties includes teaching at all levels in the care of patients with brain and CNS tumors, and engaging in scholarly activities relating to the Neuro-oncology subspecialty.
- An M.D. degree, preferably with a PhD
- Oregon medical licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Neuro-Oncology certification
- Board Certification in candidate's specialty
