Scope of Position

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to help lead the financial and procurement activites for EDFR's Digital Transformation Departments.

Responsible for the overall financial management of EDFR's Digital Technology department. Preparing annual and revised budgets, creating purchase requisitions, managing vendor contracts, and interfacing with vendors to ensure the overall purchasing process is followed as per EDFRs standards. Provide ongoing development guidance, support, and reporting of PowerBi dashboard deliverables. Interfacing with all departments within Digital Technology, Procurement, Legal, Accounting and FCP&A to ensure common standards and processes are followed in line with EDFRs policies.

Responsibilities
    Digital Portfolio Analysis - Analyze the performance and impact of digital initiatives using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement. Leverage research to understand how industry trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for enhancing digital capabilities. Perform financial analysis and forecasting, evaluating NPV and return on investment of digital products. Collaborate with Data Team to develop and maintain performance metrics and reporting mechanisms. Create reports views that can be leverage and adopted by business unit leaders and product teams.
  • IT Financial Management: Owner key budget deliverables for Opex, Capital, and headcount for designated planning cycles. Facilitate updates with accounting and FCPA team to ensure accurate reporting of capital and opex jobs are tracked and accounted for properly. Coordinate detailed month-end budget-to-actual variance analysis. Analyze project performance and results and communicate findings. Act as primary liaison between Digital Technology and finance related groups and departments throughout the company. Provide training and coaching of key financial concepts to department managers and key stakeholders. Leverage industry benchmarking tools to report on Digital Technology's business mix and make recommendations to management to optimize business performance. Create report views that can be leveraged and adopted by business units leads and managers to improve self-help and reporting capabilities.
  • Vendor Contract Administration Support: Coordinate with Contracts Manager/Administrators to ensure purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoicing is accurate and complete. Ensure purchasing documents are produced and followed-thru to ultimate delivery and receipt. Interact with vendors to customize and streamline invoicing processes to improve internal visibility and cost allocation. Occasional support to other departments for costs tracking and reporting.
  • Oversee cross-functional reporting of value tracking by initiative. Work with responsible product owners and Digital Transformation Agents to identify risks and opportunities and leverage value framework to help prioritize sequencing of digital initiatives for all business segments to better maximize value creation and resources.
  • Build and manage dashboards for use by key stakeholders across all levels of the organization. PowerBi dashboard deliverables, including updating recorded actuals, tracking, and facilitating value updates for all digital initiatives, and ensuring best practices are incorporated to support dashboard maintenance. Maintain BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance. Build familiarity with reporting best practices to leverage and optimize reporting dashboard reporting capabilities, including how to structure data and automated data flows.
  • Employee Time Reporting: Serve as a check and balance for time tracking, including internal and contract resources to ensure time keeping and billing is accurate. Provide ongoing training and feedback to managers to ensure team members are correctly allocating their time between capital and opex work.
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • 95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs as well as SAP), phones, and general office equipment.
  • 5% of time will be spent in continuous trainings and/or conferences
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred, with demonstrated multi-year (8+) professional background in financial accounting or financial management, or related combination of experience and education.
  • Advance degrees such as MBA and/or certifications highly desirable

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong PowerBi and ERP system experience with demonstrated ability to comfortably navigate multiple systems with minimal direction.
  • In-depth understanding of finance and accounting concepts and mechanisms, both general and company specific.
  • Experience with PowerBi or similar systems, and data tables, including cube environments
  • Independent, analytical, self-motivated, liaise with other departments and external sources
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to facilitate multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with tact & diplomacy
  • Demonstrated understanding of Accounting principles and concepts
  • Expert user of SAPs financial interface modules
  • Knowledge of energy industry and experience a plus
  • Ability to influence others and convey deliverables in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to travel on occasion

This role's annual base salary target range is between $110,000 and $125,000.
