This is a benefited, full time position working 10-hour day shifts generally from 7:30am-6pm. Alternating day off (working four days per week). No weekends or holidays. Located in Rancho Bernardo.

What you'll do:

With nine chairs doing infusion of chemotherapy drugs, you will have a Charge Nurse and a Supervisor supporting the department.

You will review patients' labs prior to getting treatment and work with the pharmacy, if necessary, work with the pharmacy. You will educate patients and be knowledgeable of possible adverse effects of chemotherapy.

Additionally, you will perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate. Educate patients and document patient interactions. Practice infection control. Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your own scope of practice.

This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7k

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

• Internal candidates
• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter

Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Completion of accredited RN program
• One year RN experience in Oncology
• One year RN experience in Chemotherapy (hands on administration)

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current CA RN license
• Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS certificate
• ONS (Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification)

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• RN experience in a clinic setting
