Postdoctoral Scholar in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Network and Distributed Algorithms

A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in Dr. Anish Arora’s Laboratory in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University (OSU). The position’s objectives are to advance research in the synergies between AI and networking to develop the next generation of communication networks with high efficiency, generalizability, explainability, and robustness. The use of foundational methods, including knowledge guided methods, for achieving guarantees will be prioritized. Responsibilities will include developing new designs and methods of AI and network/distributed algorithms, leading research projects, training graduate and undergraduate researchers, participating in conferences/workshops to share research progress, and writing and publishing scientific documents.

Qualifications

Required:

Education: Doctorate in computer science or computer engineering.

Experience: 0-1 Years.

Candidates should have expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and networking. Candidates should be well-experienced in network programming (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, or equivalent) and machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow and PyTorch) frameworks. Excellent communication and writing skills with a good balance of independence and collegiality in research are essential. The candidate is also expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers across campus.
