GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The National Sales Manager directs all activities within the Industrial Display Sales Group.

Reporting to the DVP of ADOC, this role will work with and lead Sales efforts for Industrial Display Sales.

REQUIRED:
4 year degree preferred: Engineering/Technical concentration
10+ years recent sales management experience
10+ years of business to business technical sales
Strong technical/Engineering comprehension
Ability to work well with other people, both externally and internally
Proven written and verbal communication skills (phone, email, presentations, face-to-face)
Must possess driver's license and be legally able to drive in the US
Proficiency in extracting information from SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Travel up to 50%, some international
Eligible to work in an ITAR environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for Amoeba Management including monthly financial analysis and reporting monthly (H/E). The National Sales Manager has operational and P&L responsibility for bookings and profits.
  2. Daily management, supervision, and direction of Sales Staff. Participates in hiring, terminations, development, succession planning and performance reviews.
  3. Controls customer interaction and relationship management within own account base and as an escalation point for customers.
  4. Represents customer requests and perspectives to Production and Management personnel to plan and execute proper "customer first" support.
  5. Generates new business inquiries, explores opportunities for product line technologies, and supports Sales Engineer development opportunities. May drive merger and acquisition activities to meet market goals.
  6. Creates and presents PowerPoint presentations to customers and attends key customer meetings.
  7. Communicates with counterparts in Japan on a regular basis for a price quotation, part delivery, and various kinds of technical confirmation, legal language discussion, & general management support. Facilitates and hosts business travel with visiting personnel from international production facilities and management during customer visits in USA, and to escort customer visit to factory visits in Asia.
  8. Ensure accurate reporting of daily sales account activity including order tracking, scheduling, logistics planning, account collection, and related administrative matters.
  9. Models' philosophy and ethical and accurate reporting. Ensures offices are safe and maintain basic P5S standards. Works closely with headquarters as needed for equipment or space.
  10. Mentors and occasionally travels with less experienced Sales Engineers.
  11. Effectively manages relationships with Top Management level at customers.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Salary based on factors such as experience and education: $ 163,000 - $ 236,000 annually
