We invite you to join our Foundation team at Scripps Health as a Development Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting directors of development in their efforts to cultivate new and upgraded gifts from clinic/hospital donors and prospects.
  • Assisting physicians in organizing annual and major giving efforts specific to their areas.
  • Assisting development/events staff in creating and coordinating fundraising events to benefit clinic/hospital approved priorities.
  • Assisting in planning and implementing programs/events for prospects and donors.
  • Assisting in establishing, implementing, and maintaining programs that recognize donors to specified areas on the hospital campus.
  • Providing support services needed to operate the development office, such as producing reports, managing mailing lists, and other data-related tasks.

This is a Full-Time position with a Monday-Friday schedule with normal business hours. This position is hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The onsite office for this position is based in Encinitas.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years fund-raising or related volunteer and professional experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with varied constituencies, including volunteers, physicians, patients, and donors.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including expertise in Word, Excel and with databases.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Creative, self-starting, results-oriented and committed to working as part of a team enterprise.
  • Ability to organize time effectively and manage many tasks simultaneously.
