- At least 2.5 years spent progressively building a background in IDEA, preferably in an academic setting.
- Experience in advancing programs and services to identify issues for multicultural, LGBTQIA+, and otherwise diverse populations in a university setting.
- Experience in planning, implementation and assessment of programs.
- Demonstrated problem solving, project planning and implementation skills.
- Proven ability to research and prepare documents, reports, and summaries for community consumption.
- Strong in-person and virtual presentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues that require discretion and confidentiality.
- Able to foster relationships with co-workers, university stakeholders, and others to advance institutional IDEA.
- Strong understanding/expertise in working with issues faced by historically marginalized faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, political savvy, and sensitivity to engage effectively with all constituencies.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with assessment strategies to evaluate effectiveness of programs and services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent priorities.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the development, creation and production of promotional materials and other marketing efforts for office events and programs.
- Experience with website design/digital content creation.
- Knowledge of local, state, and regional politics and relevant IDEA statutes.

- Manage, assess, and facilitate IDEA training and outreach.
- Coordinate related meetings with volunteers, and design customized training content to meet the needs of staff, faculty and student leaders.
- Assess measurable gaps in IDEA-related trainings and work with the AVP to implement new initiatives needed to address them.
