DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Patient Service Representative Lead primarily oversees and provides leadership and training for all front-end duties such as reception, call center, referral and authorizations and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. The Patient Service Representative Lead has oversight over junior counterparts. The Patient Service Representative Lead serves as a resource for all departments including primary care, OBGYN and Express clinic. With the guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Patient Service Representative Lead initiates and participates in improvement efforts which directly impact the practice. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of three (3) years previous related experience; skills, and extensive knowledge of practices, including one (1) year supervisory experience in a large complex healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of computer programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Graphs, Word, etc.

  • Possess the skills, and extensive knowledge of practices in Ambulatory setting.

  • Administrative lead experience.

  • Front office administration experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience interpreting patient billing inquiries and collecting past due balances.
  • Extensive knowledge of all types of insurances and eligibility; ability to navigate insurance plan websites.
  • Experience as a liaison or advocate for patients experiencing a customer service issue.
  • Experience coordinating a staffing schedule.
  • Lean training or process improvement training.
  • Exposure to advanced patient access and knowledge of building templates.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Able to flex work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $63,016 - $78,384 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.18 - $37.54

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
